RUM SPICED BEANS

INGREDIENTS
  • 2 cans pinto beans preferably unsalted
  • onion finely chopped
  • green bell pepper finely chopped
  • 2 spiced rum
  • 1 tbsp catsup
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 cider vinegar
  • 2 Worchestershire sauce
  • cinnamon
  • 1 dash Tabasco sauce
  • cup water
  • Sea salt and freshly ground pepper to taste

DIRECTIONS

Rinse one can of beans. Use the liquid from the other can in the dish.

Add all ingredients to a saucepan and bring to a slow boil over low heat. Simmer until the green pepper is soft and flavors are combined, stirring occasionally.
