QUESO BURGERS

INGREDIENTS
  • 1-1/2 90% lean pounds ground sirloin beef
  • 1 can (10 oz each) Ro*Tel® Original Diced Tomatoes & Green Chilies, undrained
  • 1 lb (16 oz) Velveeta®, cut into cubes
  • 6 hamburger buns, split, toasted
  • 6 leaves green leaf lettuce
  • 1 large tomato, cut into 6 slices

DIRECTIONS

Shape meat evenly into 6 patties. Cook in large skillet over medium-high heat 10 minutes or until cooked through (160°F), turning occasionally.

Meanwhile, combine undrained tomatoes and Velveeta in 1-1/2-quart microwavable dish; cover. Microwave on HIGH 5 minutes or just until Velveeta melts, stirring after 3 minutes. Remove from microwave; stir mixture until well blended.

Top bottom halves of buns with lettuce and tomatoes; add burgers. Spoon 2 tablespoons of the sauce over each. Cover with tops of buns. Serve with remaining sauce on the side for dipping, if desired.
