CILANTRO CHIMICHURRI BURGER - TASTEMAKER RECIPE

INGREDIENTS
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 large shallot
  • 1 cup fresh cilantro
  • 1/4 cup Culinary Circle Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • Nonstick grilling spray
  • 1-1/2 90% lean pounds ground sirloin beef
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped yellow onion
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 4 ounces Cotija or feta cheese, crumbled

DIRECTIONS

To make Cilantro Chimichurri, place garlic and shallot in food processor; pulse until finely chopped. Add cilantro, oil, vinegar, salt and red pepper flakes to processor; pulse until a paste forms. Remove mixture from food processor; set aside.

Spray cold grate of gas grill with grilling spray. Preheat grill for medium heat. Meanwhile, combine beef, Worcestershire sauce, garlic salt, black pepper and onion in large bowl. Divide mixture into 4 portions; shape each portion into a patty.

Grill patties 4 minutes on each side or until cooked through (160°F). Remove from grill. Cover with aluminum foil; let stand 3 minutes. Place 1 patty on each bun and top with Cilantro Chimichurri; sprinkle with Cotija cheese.

Serve with ALEXIA® WAFFLE CUT SWEET POTATO FRIES. Prepare potatoes according to package directions.
