CHERRY CHOCOLATE CHIP CHEWBILEES

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 1 cup = 2 sticks cup Blue Bonnet®-stick
  • 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1-1/2 cups dried cherries or dried cranberries
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate morsels
  • 1 cup coarsely chopped cashews
  • 2/3 cup white baking morsels

DIRECTIONS

Preheat oven to 350°F. Line 3 cookie sheets with parchment paper; set aside.

In large bowl, beat Blue Bonnet and sugars with electric mixer until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well. Gradually add combined flour, baking soda and salt; beat well. Stir in cherries, chocolate morsels, cashews and white morsels.

Drop dough by level 1/4 cupfuls onto prepared cookie sheets, spacing 2-1/2 inches apart. Bake 12 to 14 minutes or until golden brown.

Let cool completely on cookie sheets. Drizzle each cookie with melted chocolate chips. Let stand until chocolate is set. Carefully remove cookies from parchment paper.
