BLT WITH AVOCADO

& Garlic Basil Aioli

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 16 ounce package thick sliced bacon
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup real mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh basil leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 8 slices multigrain wide pan bread
  • 8 tomato slices
  • 2 ripe avocados pitted, peeled and sliced
  • 4 green lettuce leaves

DIRECTIONS

Sprinkle bacon with black pepper; pan-fry according to package directions. Drain on paper towels.

Meanwhile, in small bowl, combine mayonnaise, basil and garlic; salt and pepper to taste. Set aside.

Toast bread; spread with mayonnaise. Top with tomato slices, bacon, avocado slices and lettuce.
