
SLOW COOKER SPLITPEA & PULLED PORK SOUP



INGREDIENTS
- 1 1/2 pounds boneless pork butt or shoulder roast cut into 2 inch chunks
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 6 cups water
- 1 pound split green peas rinsed and drained
- 1 cup diced onions
- 1 cup diced carrots
- 4 instant chicken bouillon cubes
- 2 bay leaves
DIRECTIONS
In medium bowl, combine chunked pork, garlic powder, oregano, salt and pepper; toss to coat.
Place pork and remaining ingredients in a 5-quart or larger slow cooker.
Cook on HIGH 4-6 hours or LOW 8-10 hours or until soup has thickened and pork is fork tender
Remove bay leaves and shred pork pieces using forks.
