SLOW COOKER SPLITPEA & PULLED PORK SOUP

Serves : 6-8 servings

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 1/2 pounds boneless pork butt or shoulder roast cut into 2 inch chunks
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 6 cups water
  • 1 pound split green peas rinsed and drained
  • 1 cup diced onions
  • 1 cup diced carrots
  • 4 instant chicken bouillon cubes
  • 2 bay leaves

DIRECTIONS

In medium bowl, combine chunked pork, garlic powder, oregano, salt and pepper; toss to coat.

Place pork and remaining ingredients in a 5-quart or larger slow cooker.

Cook on HIGH 4-6 hours or LOW 8-10 hours or until soup has thickened and pork is fork tender

Remove bay leaves and shred pork pieces using forks.
