SWEET & CRUNCHY FRENCH TOAST

INGREDIENTS
  • 1/2 cup organic 2% reduced fat milk
  • 3 organic large brown eggs
  • 1 teaspoon organic ground Saigon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon organic pure vanilla extract
  • 4 cups organic frosted flakes cereal
  • 8 slices whole grain white bread
  • organic butter
  • organic 100% pure maple syrup

DIRECTIONS

1. In shallow bowl, combine milk, eggs, cinnamon and vanilla; salt to taste. Whisk until well combined. Place crushed cereal in a shallow dish.

2. In batches, dip the bread into egg mixture; press into crushed cereal, coating both sides.

3. In a flat skillet, over medium heat, melt enough butter to coat pan. Place coated bread in pan; cook until golden on both sides, about 2 minutes per side. Repeat as needed with remaining bread.
