
TURKEY CHILI



INGREDIENTS
- 1 teaspoon organic extra virgin olive oil
- 1 pound ground turkey breast
- 1 1/2 cups chopped yellow, green and/or red bell peppers
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 3 tablespoons chopped fresh jalapeño peppers
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 2 tablespoons organic ground cumin
- 1 tablespoon chopped garlic
- 1 1/2 teaspoons organic fresh oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon organic ground cayenne pepper
- 1 15 ounce can organic tomato sauce
- 1 15 ounce can organic black beans rinsed and drained
- 1 15 ounce can organic pinto beans rinsed and drained
- 1 14.5 ounce can organic diced tomatoes undrained
DIRECTIONS
In large saucepan or Dutch oven, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add ground turkey, peppers, onion, jalapeño, chili powder, cumin, garlic, oregano and cayenne; salt and pepper to taste.
Cook and crumble until turkey is cooked through. Add in tomato sauce, beans and tomatoes; salt and pepper to taste.
Bring to a simmer; reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, 10-15 minutes.
