FIVE CHEESE SPICY ITALIAN LASAGNA

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 15 ounce container whole milk ricotta cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup Culinary Circle Shredded Parmesan Cheese divided
  • 2 24 ounce jars spicy Italian sausage pasta sauce
  • 1 8 ounce package no boil lasagna
  • 1 1/4 cups shredded smoked Gouda cheese
  • 1 1/4 cups shredded provolone cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 5 ounce container fresh baby spinach leaves

DIRECTIONS

In medium bowl, combine ricotta cheese, egg and ½ cup Parmesan cheese. Salt and pepper to taste; set aside. In another bowl, combine remaining Parmesan cheese, Gouda, provolone and mozzarella cheeses.

Evenly spread 1 cup pasta sauce in the bottom of a 13x9-inch baking pan. Top with one layer of lasagna noodles, ½ the ricotta cheese, 1 cup of pasta sauce, ½ the spinach leaves and ⅓ of cheese mixture. Repeat layers ending with final layer of noodles, pasta sauce and shredded cheeses.

Cover with aluminum foil and bake in a preheated 375°F oven 30 minutes. Remove foil and continue baking 15 minutes or until cheese is golden brown and bubbly. Let stand 15 minutes.
