
SURF N TURF
with Garlic Cream Sauce



INGREDIENTS
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 tablespoons minced garlic
- 2 tablespoons minced shallots
- 1/8 teaspoon Old Bay® seasoning
- 1 cup white wine divided
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives
- 3 pounds king crab legs
- 1 1/2 pounds boneless New York strip or ribeye steaks
DIRECTIONS
In medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add in garlic, shallots and Old Bay seasoning. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Sauté 1 minute.
Add in ½ cup wine; bring to a simmer. Simmer, stirring occasionally, until reduced by half. Add in cream and chives; continue simmering until sauce has thickened slightly (about 1 minute). Set aside and keep warm.
In large pot or roasting pan with cover heat remaining ½ cup wine over medium-high heat. When steaming, add crab legs and cover. Steam crab for 5-10 minutes or until heated through.
Meanwhile, place steaks on a broiler pan and pepper to taste. Place broiler pan about 4-inches below broiler set on HIGH. Broil, 9-11 minutes, turning once or until medium-rare (145°F). Remove from oven and salt to taste.
Serve crab and beef with garlic cream sauce.
