BROCCOLI WITH GARLIC

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 tablespoon 100% pure olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon chopped garlic
  • 1 16 ounce package frozen broccoli spears thawed, drained
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup fancy shredded Italian style Parmesan cheese

DIRECTIONS

In large skillet, heat oil and butter over medium-high heat; add garlic and sauté 1 minute.

Add broccoli spears, salt and pepper. Sauté broccoli until garlic is golden brown and broccoli is cooked (about 3-4 minutes). Remove from heat and place in an ovenproof shallow serving dish. (Broccoli can be covered and refrigerated several hours or overnight).

Sprinkle broccoli with Parmesan cheese; place under broiler (HIGH) and broil until cheese is melted and golden brown (about 5-7 minutes).
