
CHOCOLATE DIPPED PRETZELS
with Caramel



INGREDIENTS
- 1 12 ounce package semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon all vegetable shortening
- 3 cups peanut butter filled pretzel nuggets
- 22 wrapped caramels unwrapped
- - Sea Salt
DIRECTIONS
Place chocolate and 1 tablespoon shortening in a microwaveable bowl. Microwave (HIGH) at 30 second intervals, stirring each time until completely melted (about 1½ minutes).
Place pretzels into a 1-gallon recloseable food storage bag; carefully pour chocolate over pretzels. Seal bag; toss to coat pretzels. Pour out onto cooling rack; separate.
Place caramels in another microwaveable bowl. Microwave (HIGH) at 30 second intervals, stirring each time until completely melted (about 1½ minutes). Drizzle melted caramel over pretzels; sprinkle with sea salt.
Refrigerate several hours. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
