VELVETY GREEN BEAN CASSEROLE

INGREDIENTS
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 8 ounce package sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 10.5 ounce can cream of mushroom soup
  • 8 ounces Super Cheezy processed cheese spread loaf, cubed
  • 1 8 ounce package shredded mild Cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 32 ounce package frozen cut green beans thawed and drained
  • 1 6 ounce container French fried onions

DIRECTIONS

In large skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat. Add onions, mushrooms, salt and pepper. Sauté until onions are soft and all liquid has evaporated from mushrooms.

Reduce heat to medium-low; add soup, cheeses and sour cream, stirring until cheese has melted. Mix in green beans and half the French fried onions.

Transfer to a greased 13x9-inch baking dish. Bake, uncovered, in preheated 350°F oven 40-50 minutes or until bubbly.

Sprinkle remaining French fried onions on top; continue baking 5 minutes or until golden brown.
