SAUTÉED PEAS

with Bacon & Onions

INGREDIENTS
  • 4 slices bacon chopped
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon chopped garlic
  • 1 10 ounce package frozen petite green peas partially thawed
  • - fancy shredded Italian style Parmesan cheese optional

DIRECTIONS

In large skillet over medium heat, sauté bacon until crisp; remove to paper towel. Remove all but 1 tablespoon bacon drippings.

Add onions and garlic to skillet; sauté until onions are softened (about 3-5 minutes).

Add peas; salt and pepper to taste. Sauté until heated through and liquid is absorbed. Serve with cheese, if desired.
