WHITE CHEDDAR GARLIC MASHED POTATOES

INGREDIENTS
  • 3 pounds russet potatoes peeled, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 8 cloves garlic peeled
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded white sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled bacon
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions

DIRECTIONS

In large saucepan, combine potatoes and garlic. Cover with water; salt to taste.

Bring to a boil; reduce heat to simmer. Cook potatoes until tender (about 20 minutes); drain.

Mash potatoes and garlic with sour cream, milk and butter.

Stir in cheese, bacon and onions; salt and pepper to taste.
