CHOCOLATE PECAN PIE

INGREDIENTS
  • 1/2 15 ounce package refrigerated pie crust (1 crust)
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 4 large eggs beaten
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup Chopped Pecans

DIRECTIONS

Prepare pie crust according to one-crust package directions; do not bake. Fill with chocolate chips. Place on baking sheet; set aside.

In small saucepan over medium heat, combine corn syrup, butter, sugar and cinnamon. Bring to a boil, stirring frequently; boil 1 minute or until all sugar is dissolved. Let cool slightly.

In large bowl, combine eggs, vanilla and salt. Slowly pour sugar mixture into eggs, whisking constantly, until well combined. Stir in pecans; pour into pie crust.

Bake in a preheated 325°F oven 45-55 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cool. Store in refrigerator.
