SMOKED SAUSAGE & BEANS

Serves : 4 servings

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 tablespoon pure vegetable oil
  • 1 14 ounce package smoked sausage ring sliced, slices cut in half
  • 1/2 cup diced carrots
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1 16 ounce package frozen Fordhook lima beans thawed
  • 1 16 ounce can baked beans
  • 1 cup hickory smoke barbecue sauce
  • 1 cup sauerkraut

DIRECTIONS

In large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add sausage, carrots and onions; salt and pepper to taste. Sauté until onions are softened (about 3-5 minutes).

Transfer to a large slow cooker. Add remaining ingredients.

Cook on HIGH 2-3 hours or LOW 4-6 hours or until vegetables are very tender.
