SAUSAGE & MUSHROOM FRENCH BREAD PIZZA

INGREDIENTS
  • 1/2 pound bulk Italian sausage
  • 1 8 ounce package sliced button mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 14 ounce jar homemade style pizza sauce
  • 2 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

DIRECTIONS

In medium skillet over medium heat, cook and crumble sausage until no longer pink; drain.

Add mushrooms and onions to sausage and continue cooking until mushrooms are softened; drain. Set aside.

Cut French bread sections in half horizontally. Place bread on baking sheet and spread with pizza sauce. Top with sausage mixture and cheese.

Bake in a preheated 425°F oven 14-16 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
